Terms of Use
Short, and in plain language. If a clause needed a lawyer to read, it needed rewriting.

These terms cover your use of the Wick apps and this website. By using Wick you agree to them.

What Wick is, and what it is not
Wick is a habit tracker. It is designed for people who find starting and resuming things difficult, including people with ADHD and other executive-function differences.
No health claims. Wick is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice, diagnosis or therapy. It is a productivity tool, and nothing in it should be taken as a substitute for advice from a qualified professional. If you are struggling with your health, please speak to someone qualified.
Your account
An anonymous account is created automatically the first time the app syncs, so your data has an owner. You may optionally attach an email address so you can use Wick on more than one device.
You are responsible for keeping access to that email address secure. If you lose access to it and have no signed-in device, we may be unable to restore your data — there is nothing else linking the account to you, which is a direct consequence of not collecting more about you.
You must be 18 or over to use Wick. India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act defines anyone under 18 as a child and requires verified parental consent before their data may be processed. Wick has no way to verify that, and building one would mean collecting far more about every user than the app does today.
Your content
Your habits, notes and history are yours. You grant us only the permission needed to operate the service — to store your data, sync it between your devices, and back it up.
We do not use your content to train models, we do not sell it, and we do not show it to anyone outside the operation of the service. See the Privacy Policy for the detail.
Free and paid
The daily loop is free: completing habits, the widget, consistency and streaks, reminders, and every feature concerned with resuming after a break.
Wick Pro is an optional subscription that adds scale, flexibility and depth — more habits, more schedule types, and your full history.
Subscription terms
- Prices: $4.99 per month, $29.99 per year, or $69.99 once for lifetime access. Local prices and taxes vary by store and region; the store shows the exact amount before you confirm.
- Free trial: the annual plan includes a 14-day free trial. If you do not cancel before the trial ends, it converts to a paid year.
- Automatic renewal: monthly and annual subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before it ends. Lifetime access does not renew.
- Cancelling: manage or cancel in your App Store or Google Play account settings. Cancelling stops the next renewal; it does not shorten the period you have already paid for.
- Payment is taken by Apple or Google, not by us. Refunds are handled under their policies — we cannot issue them directly, but write to us and we will help where we can.
A commitment about what stays free
Everything that helps you resume — protecting a day with a match, recognising a return, the daily check-in, smaller versions of a habit, and starting fresh — is free, and will remain free. The entitlement system has no switch capable of gating any of it, and matches cannot be purchased at any price.
We are stating this in the terms because it is a promise, not a current price point.
Acceptable use
Do not use Wick to break the law, attempt to access other people’s data, disrupt the service, or resell access to it. We may suspend an account that does.
Availability
Wick is provided as-is. We work to keep it running, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted service.
The app is local-first by design: your device holds the real copy of your data, so the app keeps working when the network or our servers do not. That is a deliberate protection against this clause, not a substitute for it.
We may change or discontinue features. If we discontinue the service entirely, we will give reasonable notice and a way to export your data.
Liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of data beyond what is stored on your own device. Nothing here limits liability that cannot legally be limited — including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.
Your statutory consumer rights are not affected.
Ending it
You can stop using Wick whenever you like. To remove your data, see the deletion request page.
We may end your access if you materially break these terms.
Changes and governing law
If these terms change materially, the date above changes and we will tell you in the app before the change takes effect.
These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts of India have jurisdiction — without affecting any mandatory consumer protection you have under the law of the country you live in.
