Delete your account and data
What gets deleted, what it means for an anonymous account, and how to ask.
Last updated
You can have your Wick account and everything stored with it permanently erased. This page explains what that covers and how to request it.
Deleting from inside the app
Uninstalling Wick removes the copy of your data held on that device, including anything that had not yet synced, and resets the anonymous analytics identifier.
Uninstalling does not remove data from our server. To erase that too, use the request below.
Requesting erasure
Email support-wick@imatefx.com with the subject “Delete my Wick account”.
If your account has an email address, send the request from that address — that is how we confirm the account is yours.
If it does not — you never signed in, so the account is anonymous — open Settings → Report a problem in the app and copy the support ID from the report. Send that instead. It is the only identifier that connects your device to anything.
We confirm receipt within 7 days and complete erasure within 30 days.
If you are in India, this is also your route to raise a grievance under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 — the same address reaches the Data Fiduciary, Stalin Pereira trading as iMateFX.
What is deleted
Everything associated with your account:
- Your habits, including their names and any smaller versions you wrote
- Every completion and the whole of your history
- Your schedules, reminder settings and anchor text
- Day records, quiet periods and returns, and the match ledger
- Your check-in dates
- Your settings and, if you added one, your email address and sign-in credentials
- Any subscription entitlement record
This is irreversible. There is no undo, and we cannot restore an account once erased.
What is not covered
Analytics events cannot be individually removed, because they are not linked to your account. They carry a random identifier that has no connection to your Wick user, which is a privacy protection rather than an evasion — but it does mean we cannot look up “your” events to delete them. They contain no habit names, notes, or check-ins. Uninstalling resets that identifier, and you can switch analytics off entirely in Settings at any time.
Your subscription is separate. Purchases are held by Apple or Google, not by us. Deleting your Wick account does not cancel a subscription — cancel that in your App Store or Google Play account settings, or you will continue to be charged.
“Start fresh” is not deletion
The app has a Start fresh option in Settings. It restarts your streaks and consistency window from today, so you get a clean slate.
It deliberately deletes nothing — your history, best streak and past returns all stay, and stay counted. It exists because a reset should not have to mean losing everything you have already done.
If you want your data actually erased, use the request above.
